The Indiana Fever have followed their four-game winning streak with two-straight losses. Sitting at 7-12 on the season, Indiana trails the 8th seed Chicago Sky by a half-game in the Eastern Conference standings.

Recently getting Temi Fagbenle back from an extended injury absence, Indiana now has their full rotation available as the All-Star break approaches. While it was a left foot injury that had Fagbenle sidelined for several weeks, the Fever center is now dealing with a different injury.

Questionable for Sunday's game against the Phoenix Mercury, Fagbenle is now dealing with a right thumb injury that the team officially announced on their injury report:

It is encouraging that Fagbenle is listed as questionable as opposed to being ruled out, as this suggests even if she is forced to miss Sunday's contest, this injury should not result in an extended absence. According to Chloe Peterson of IndyStarSports , Fagbenle suffered this right thumb injury in Indiana's loss to the Seattle Storm on Friday.

In her first game since returning from the left foot injury, Fagbenle finished with eight points, seven rebounds, and two assists in 19 minutes of play. Fagbenle turned in some great production while on a minutes restriction, converting on four of her five field goal attempts.

Indiana certainly needs Fagbenle healthy if they are going to make a postseason push. Averaging 5.8 rebounds per game on the season, Fagbenle ranks third on the team in that category. Also one of Indiana's best rim protectors, Fagbenle's 0.9 blocks per game is tied with Caitlin Clark for third on the team.
