Javier Joel Perez was sentenced to 8 years in federal prison for possession of a controlled substance with the intent to distribute it, possession of a firearm in furtherance of drug trafficking, and possession of a firearm and ammunition as a person with convictions.
Naples man sentenced in 2022 DUI manslaughter case
FORT MYERS, Fla. — On Friday, a Naples man was sentenced to six years in prison for DUI manslaughter after a crash killed one and injured three others in Bonita Springs. James Nelligan, 39, reportedly crashed on Feb. 11, 2022, killing a 49-year-old New Jersey woman and leaving three others with minor injuries.

SAINT JAMES CITY, Fla. — Firefighters battled flames Thursday afternoon after a vehicle and golf cart caught fire, reportedly causing a powerline to fall in St. James City.
