After losing four straight games after the All-Star Break, the Red Sox picked up a much needed win against the Colorado Rockies, 6-0. Thanks to an excellent performance by starting pitcher Cooper Criswell. Because of him, the Rockies were unable to get into the offensive form they were in yesterday.

The Sox were able to get their offense running early this game, thanks to Tyler O’Neill and Rob Refsnyder, who scored all their runs. In the first inning, the Sox scored three runs from a Refsnyder double and a O’Neill two-run home-run making it 3-0. Refsnyder doubled again in the second inning to score two more runners, making it 5-0. The Sox ended their scoring outburst in the top of the third inning, with a solo homer from O’Neill, making it 6-0.

Neither team was able to score after that, giving the Sox a win they needed and a confidence boost. They have one more game to decide the series tomorrow at 3:10pm.
