The Boston Red Sox had a productive night in the batters' box in their return out west.

The Red Sox earned an 11-6 win over the Texas Rangers in the series opener at Globe Life Field.

What are the main takeaways from Boston’s game one win over Texas?

Boston enjoyed a team-wide effort at the plate

The Red Sox scored early and often, taking a lead in the top of the second inning and giving it back only once.

Boston scored 11 runs off 16 hits. All but one player in the Red Sox's batting order produced at least one hit, five had multiple.

Connor Wong led the way at the plate, going 4-5 with one RBI.

Kutter Crawford did not have the best night

Boston’s starter did enough to earn his seventh win of the season but it was not a performance to write home about.

In 5.1 innings on the mound, Crawford allowed five runs off six hits, walked a batter, and struck out five.

Fortunately for Crawford, the Red Sox did not struggle to put runs on the board tonight and he could get away with not being at his best.

The middle innings continue to be the most productive for Boston

The Red Sox have dominated in the middle of games all season and tonight was no different.

Boston hung up four runs in the fourth inning, one in the fifth inning, and two in the sixth inning.

There are plenty of games that will come down to the wire but the Red Sox have shown the ability to be productive before crunch time and give themselves an advantage.

The Red Sox are now 58-50 on the season.

    Game 2

The Red Sox will be looking to secure their second series win of the second half of the season with a victory tomorrow. First pitch is set for 7:05 p.m. ET.
