After taking the series opener, the Boston Red Sox fell to the Texas Rangers in game two.

The Rangers earned a 7-4 victory at Globe Life Field tonight after a dominant outing from their bullpen.

What are the main things to take away from the series between Boston and Texas?

The Rangers' bullpen got the job done

Texas did not get much out of Cody Bradford's start as he allowed three runs in just 3.2 innings on the mound.

The Rangers' bullpen picked up the slack, however, as five of their relief pitchers got in the game and only one allowed a run.

A dependable bullpen is an asset for any team and Texas' came up big tonight.

Tanner Houck had another bad outing

Remaining on the theme of pitching, Boston’s ace made another start that ended with fans scratching their heads.

In five innings of work, Houck allowed six runs off eight hits, walked two batters and struck out seven.

Houck dominated in the first half of the season and was named an All-Star as a result but has struggled in all three of his starts to begin the second half of the season.

    Rob Refsnyder's bat was popping

Boston's lineup had an off-night as a group but its left fielder could not be stopped at the plate.

Refsnyder went 4-for-4 with two home runs and three RBI.

The only other member of the team to produce multiple hits was Ceddanne Rafaela who went 2-for-4 and scored a run.

The Red Sox are now 58-51 on the season.

    Game 3

The Red Sox will attempt to secure their second series win in a row with a victory tomorrow afternoon. First pitch is set for 2:35 p.m. ET.
