Past events have seen the likes of sports legends Sue Bird and Megan Rapinoe make their claims for who should be the WNBA Rookie of the Year between Indiana Fever guard Caitlin Clark and Chicago Sky forward Angel Reese. Now it's Boston Celtics star Jaylen Brown's turn.

Brown recently appeared on an episode of the Boardroom podcast, with host Viciane Ngomsi asking him about the race between the two rookie stars.

Brown's response was firm and confident, giving Reese the edge due to her ability to rack up double-doubles at an elite level.

“Angel Reese got my vote. I just think you know consistency to come in just double-double after double-double," Brown said.

Brown is correct to point out Reese's ability to have performances featuring double-doubles game after game. She is averaging 13.5 points and 11.9 rebounds so far as she has tallied up to 17 double-doubles and counting.

On the other hand, Clark has nine double-doubles and one triple-double at the moment. She is putting up 17.1 points, 8.2 assists, and 5.8 rebounds per game.

Both rookies have enjoyed their breaks after taking part in the WNBA All-Star Game, and while Brown's choice won't affect their performance, it will more than raise the level of interest fans have on these two as the season winds down.
