Trey Lipscomb hits third double in rookie season
San Diego defeated Washington, 4-0, on Tuesday at Nationals Park in Washington, D.C. Former Vol Trey Lipscomb started at third base for the Nationals. He went 1-for-3 and hit his third double of the season. Lipscomb has recorded a .226 batting average, one home run and 10 RBIs in 50 games in 2024. The former Vol has recorded eight hits for the Nationals in July. Lipscomb was selected by Washington in the third-round of the 2022 Major League Baseball draft (No. 84 overall). He won the 2022 Southeastern Conference Tournament and regular-season championship with the Vols. Lipscomb appeared in 66 games in his final season at Tennessee in 2022.
