Fans Torn Over Colorado’s EA Sports College Football 25 Ranking

EA Sports did something Friday that confused college football fans. The top 25 power rankings were announced for the upcoming EA Sports College Football 25 video game, courtesy of On3 Sports.

The Colorado Buffaloes finished with four wins last season. Colorado got off to a 3-1 start after beating the TCU Horned Frogs, Nebraska Cornhuskers, and Colorado State Rams.

Once conference play opened, everything went downhill for Deion Sanders and the Buffaloes. Colorado won one more game that season.

Despite how last season ended, Colorado was still in the top 25 power rankings. The Buffaloes were the No. 16 team, coming in with an 87 overall attribute score.

Plenty of jokes were made at Colorado's expense. Numerous fans brought up how the Buffaloes only won four games in 2023. Plenty of people predicted that Colorado would miss out on a bowl game again in 2024.

Coach Prime will attempt to bring the program to its first bowl game appearance since the 2020 Alamo Bowl. The program has not won a bowl game since the 2004 Houston Bowl against the UTEP Miners.

The Buffaloes open the 2024 campaign against the North Dakota State Bison on Aug. 29. Kickoff will be at 8 p.m. ET on ESPN  from Boulder.
