Colorado Buffaloes quarterback Shedeur Sanders is officially stepping into the media side of sports after releasing the first episode of his podcast “2Legendary” on Tuesday. He said his guests will be a mix of family, friends, and other college football athletes. He didn’t hold back on episode one inviting two starting college football quarterbacks to the set in Virginia Tech’s Kyron Drones and Miami Hurricanes transfer Cam Ward.

All three of them have played on some of college football’s biggest stages and some of the game’s most historic venues. Drones is already familiar with Doak S. Campbell Stadium, home of the Florida State Seminoles, and he didn’t get the impression you’d expect after playing in Tallahassee.

“I felt like that was overhyped,” he said on the podcast. “I feel like it’s going crazy for a night game, but day game was overhyped.”

The Seminoles made light work of the Hokies when they hosted Drones last season with a score of 39-17. Drones had a day to forget throwing for only 104 yards and no scores. He did rack up 80 rushing yards.

The Hokies won’t have to play Florida State during the regular season, and Cam Ward will only face off against them at home. However, Ward will travel to the venue Drones said had the best gameday atmosphere when the Hurricanes play the Louisville Cardinals.

Ward and Drones aren’t just sharing the microphone on Sanders’ podcast, but they’ll also share the field on Sept. 27 when the Hokies play the Hurricanes on the road at Hard Rock Stadium.
