Staunton man hospitalized after police pursuit
AUGUSTA COUNTY, Va. (ROCKTOWN NOW) – A Staunton man remains hospitalized following a police pursuit last week. Lieutenant Leslie Snyder reported in a news release that at around 8 a.m. last Friday morning, deputies responded to the 200 block of Balsley Road east of Staunton for a report of a disorderly man.
Sheriff: Shooting in Craigsville leaves one person injured
CRAIGSVILLE — The Augusta County Sheriff’s Office is investigating a shooting Monday night in Craigsville that left one person injured. In a press release, the Sheriff's Office said that the shooting occurred Monday July 1 at approximately 9:47 p.m. in the 450 block of Hite Hollow Road in Craigsville. The female victim suffered a gunshot wound to the arm, per the release. The Sheriff's Office said that Craigsville Rescue Squad and Augusta County Fire and Rescue responded and transported the victim to Augusta Health.

BROADWAY, VA (Rocktown Now) – Virginia State Police have determined that no money was missing or misused in Broadway, following an investigation into the town. Sergeant Brent Coffey said in a release that after meeting with the Commonwealth’s Attorney, it was determined that no criminal violations occurred and the investigation is now closed.
