The Lowertown Sounds concert scheduled for Aug. 29 in St. Paul 's Mears Park has been canceled "due to inclement weather in the forecast."

Organizers say they had to make the "hard call" to cancel tonight's show due to the potential for severe storms on Thursday evening, arriving just days after another storm left thousands around the Twin Cities without power .

The Twin Cities is in the "enhanced risk" zone for severe weather, with strong straight-line winds, large hail, heavy rain and tornadoes the possible risk factors.

It's expected to arrive in the Twin Cities metro between 5 p.m. and 7 p.m.
