Those injured include a 16-year-old boy, 17-year-old boy, two 18-year-old men and one 19-year-old man.

Around 50 witnesses have been interviewed in connection with the investigation to date, according to police. The Minnesota Bureau of Criminal Apprehension and federal Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco and Firearms are also assisting with the case.

"When incidents like this happen in our community, we all feel the trauma and loss of our collective sense of safety," Schwartz said. "We know residents may feel uneasy, and we take seriously our duty to find those responsible and bring them justice."

Police are seeking tips and anyone with information regarding the shooting is asked to contact Burnsville Police Det. Mitch Carlson at 952-641-1156.

Residents with home surveillance systems are also asked to review any footage from Friday between 7:45 p.m. and 8:30 p.m.
