    Bristol standout commits to the next level

    BRISTOLVILLE, Ohio (WKBN) – Bristol High School basketball star and recent graduate Mikey Burbach signed his letter of intent with Westminster College to continue his academic and basketball careers.

    Burbach signed with the Titans early Monday morning, joined by his family.

    The Bristol graduate was a four-year starter and started every single game for the Panthers. He is also part of Panther basketball teams which were two-time undefeated Northeastern Athletic Conference Champions.

    Burbach is third all-time in Bristol school history in points, scoring 1,354. He averaged a career double-double with 15.7 points per game and 10.5 rebounds per game.

    During his senior season, Burbach led the team in nearly every statistical category in game averages. The Panther star led the team in points, rebounds, steals and blocks per game.

    The Bristol star has the school record for career rebounds and rebounds in a single season. He also owns the Bristol record for single game rebounds with 29.

    Westminster College competes at the Division III level and in the Presidents’ Athletic Conference. The Titans finished with an overall record of 10-14 last season. Westminster’s season ended in the PAC Tournament quarterfinals against Chatham.

    The Titans’ first action back is an exhibition game scheduled for Nov. 4 at the Beeghly Center against Youngstown State University.
