Train derailment in Fredericksburg, Virginia, police investigate
FREDERICKSBURG, Va. — Crews have been working tirelessly for the last 24 hours to remove the train that derailed in Fredericksburg, Saturday night. Officials say as of Sunday afternoon all but one of the five cars have been removed. CSX took over the investigation and says all train cars should be removed and rerailed between 8pm and midnight.

BRIDGEWATER, Va. (WHSV) - The Bridgewater Volunteer Fire Company hosts its 86th annual Bridgewater Lawn Party. Hundreds of locals came out to enjoy a series of food, antique shows, parades, and music. All food vendor proceeds went to the Bridgewater Volunteer Fire Company as an effort to help supply its Firehouse. Bridgewater Volunteer Fire Company Chief Joshua Shank says the event means more than just a means for fundraising.

VIRGINIA (WFXR)– The White House recently announced $325 million in funding from the Choice Neighborhoods Implementation Grant to seven communities across the country to build more homes and revitalize neighborhoods that have been left behind. One community receiving funding includes the Norfolk Redevelopment and Housing Authority (NRHA), which received $2.5 million to help lower housing costs in Virginia.
