New York Yankees outfielder Aaron Judge was taken out of the lineup Tuesday shortly after taking a fastball to the hand during an at-bat against the Baltimore Orioles.

Orioles starter Albert Suarez hit Judge with a 94-mph to lead off the bottom of the 3rd inning at Yankee Stadium in the Bronx, N.Y.

Judge immediately grimaced in pain and even gave Suarez a stern look before heading to first base.

Here’s another angle of the hit-by-pitch.

Judge initially stayed in the game and even went on to score after back-to-back singles from Alex Verdugo and Giancarlo Stanton. The Yankees ended the third inning up 3-0.

However, Judge was replaced by outfielder Trent Grisham before his next at-bat.

Judge will undergo imaging on Tuesday night to determine the extent of the injury, the Yankees announced on X.

The 6’7″ slugger has arguably been the best player in baseball through the first half of the MLB season.

Judge entered Tuesday’s contests leading the majors in home runs (26), RBIs (64), walks (57), slugging percentage (.686), and OPS (1.110).

The only other player with an OPS currently above the 1.000-mark is Judge’s Yankees teammate Juan Soto, who has had his own injury troubles this season .
