Police searching for missing 15-year-old

BROOKHAVEN, WV (LOOTPRESS) – Police are seeking public assistance in locating a missing juvenile in West Virginia.

According to the Monongalia County Sheriff’s Office (MCSO), on July 29, 2024, the MCSO was notified that Jacob Thomas Miavitz, a 15-year-old white male, had gone missing from his residence on Bennett Drive in the Brookhaven area.

Jacob was last seen at approximately 2:30 a.m. wearing a light-colored t-shirt and long pants, possibly red plaid pajama bottoms.

He is described as being 5’7″ tall and weighing 145 pounds.

Residents in the Brookhaven area are asked to check their security cameras for any unusual activity, including vehicles and individuals, around this time.

Anyone with information on Jacob’s whereabouts is urged to contact the Monongalia County Sheriff’s Office at 304-291-7260 or MECCA 911.
