MONTICELLO — A passenger from Brooklyn Park was injured Thursday morning when the pickup truck she was riding in, along with the camper and boat it was towing, rolled into a ditch on Interstate 94 in Monticello Township.

According to a report from the Minnesota State Patrol, the 2006 GMC Sierra was traveling westbound on I-94 and was pulling a fifth-wheel camper as well as a boat when it lost control near mile marker 192 and entered the north-side ditch, causing all three of the vehicles to roll.

The Sierra was driven by Thomas Allen Lease, 68, of Brooklyn Park, who the patrol said was wearing his seat belt and was not injured.

Passenger Debra Ann Lease, 64, of Brooklyn Park, was also wearing her seat belt, according to the accident report. She was taken to CentraCare’s Monticello Hospital with non-life threatening injuries, the patrol said.

Road conditions were dry at the time and alcohol was not involved, according to the report.

Members of the Wright County Sheriff’s Office along with a CentraCare ambulance responded to the scene.
