Student Voices: Learning new things at the High School Journalism Institute
During my first two days at the High School Journalism Institute, I’ve had a lot of fun and learned a lot of new things. I started off the day by getting dropped off by my parents at 10 a.m. and putting our stuff in our dorm rooms. We started the program with lunch. After that, we spent a few hours doing introductions and games. Our group was split into two groups and we used parachutes to launch rubber ducks to the other team. Then, most of our group went ziplining and other activities on the challenge course (not me). After the challenge course, we were split into two teams again and spent a while trying to get a stick on the ground (it’s harder than it sounds).
