As of Monday night, Hurricane Beryl is expected to continue on a westerly path across the Caribbean. Beryl, which is now a record holder for the strongest hurricane so early in the season, is currently at CAT 5 storm but it is expected to weaken as it arrives in the Yucatan this weekend.

The latest forecast redevelops the storm in the Gulf of Mexico on Monday of next week. That same forecast then aims the storm south of Brownsville on Tuesday after the long holiday weekend. The heaviest rain now expected in Deep South Texas with some shower activity as far north as San Antonio and  the Crossroads.

There is a lot of time between now and then but in general that is the likely path of the storm.
