Winona County woman indicted for phony cure that hurt instead of healed
ST. PAUL, Minn. – A Winona County woman has been indicted in federal court for selling a phony cure that left patients with additional injuries. Tammy Schultz Wadsworth, 62 of Stockton, has been charged with mail fraud, wire fraud, and money laundering. The U.S. Attorney’s Office for the State of Minnesota says Wadsworth cheated business owners of nearly $1 million through a multi-year sophisticated fraud scheme.
Ten children & one adult hospitalized after bus carrying 51 crashes with minivan
DOVER, Wis. (WFRV) – Ten children and one adult were transported to a nearby hospital after a bus carrying 51 people crashed with a minivan on Thursday afternoon. According to a release, at around 12:15 p.m. on July 18, the Kansasville Fire & Rescue Department was sent to the intersection of County Highway N and Church Road in the town of Dover for a reported bus crash with injuries.

Man tries to walk out of store with close to $1K of goods
(KWNO)-A Winona man allegedly tried to walk out of Walmart with $900 worth of merchandise. According to a police spokesperson, 50-year-old Christopher Sage on Thursday loaded a cart with electronics, a fire pit, a comforter and other items. He then walked by the pay terminals but was stopped by store employees before exiting the store. Sage left the cart, ran out of the store and fled in a vehicle. Through surveillance video and employee statements, officers identified the vehicle and later found Sage at a residence. He said he wasn’t trying to steal anything but did admit to not having enough money to pay for everything in the cart. Sage was arrested for theft.
