Free window repair workshop Sept. 7
Rethos: Places Reimagined is hosting a wood window repair class in Winona for people interested in learning the skills to care for and repair the wood windows in their homes. Wood windows, especially those found in homes built before 1940, may fall victim to cracked glazing, wood rot, flaking paint, broken panes, or ripped cords, all of which can be repaired. Wood windows, if cared for properly, can be just as energy-efficient as new windows, are much more sustainable than window replacement, and will continue to last for several decades. While caring for wood windows may seem daunting, learning basic skills and principles can empower you to take on repairs yourself.
