Global technology outage hits Northeast Wisconsin
APPLETON, Wis. (WBAY) - The global technology outage affecting airports, airlines, banks, hospitals, and other industries is being felt here in Northeast Wisconsin. Aurora BayCare is the only one reporting computer issues, but a dispatcher with the hospital tells us they don’t believe the issues are impacting patient care. Bellin Green Bay, HSHS Saint Vincent’s, and ThedaCare in Neenah all told us they are unaware of any issues currently.
Henry Winkler Stops At Wisconsin Café For Breakfast
What a guy! Henry Winkler was in Wisconsin with “Happy Days” co-stars Anson Williams and Donny Most last week and made a stop for breakfast at a local café. Maria W. Faust Sonnet Contest celebration July 27
The official end to the annual Maria W. Faust Sonnet Contest is the announcement of the winners, a fun celebration hosted in person and online. The public is invited to attend on Saturday, July 27, at 11 a.m. at the Winona County History Center. It can also be viewed online on the Maria W. Faust Sonnet Contest’s Facebook page. The program will be led by emcee Rob Thomas, with winning sonnets being read either over Zoom by the winning poets or in person by the Great River Shakespeare Festival’s Doug Scholz-Carlson and the contest’s judges. Refreshments from the Blue Heron Coffeehouse will be provided at this free event. The winning sonnets will then be published on the website: sonnetcontest.org.
