Bills Star Throws Shade At Stefon Diggs With Latest Comments About Josh Allen

Receiver Stefon Diggs really did a number on his former Buffalo Bills teammates.

Fed up with his antics, the Bills shipped the polarizing and outspoken receiver off to the Houston Texans early in the offseason in a move that signaled Diggs’ talent no longer trumped the on- and off-the-field headaches he brought to the team.

With their biggest locker room distraction no longer around, the culture in Buffalo has already started to improve. Star left tackle Dion Dawkins has even noticed a change in quarterback Josh Allen, who was often the target of Diggs’ tantrums.

“Josh is one of those guys that will do what it takes at that moment,” Dawkins said, via NFL.com . “He's definitely a barker when that time comes. I've actually seen the bark a lot more this OTAs where he's been very, very verbal, because our team is different. It's different. We've got some young dudes that, when they come in, they see a little bit of success, and they can change, so Josh is doing exactly what he should.”

Dawkins’ remarks come across as a lowkey shot at Diggs, who frequently challenged Allen’s leadership and blamed the 28-year-old QB for not getting him the ball as much as he’d like.

Buffalo’s wide receiver corps certainly isn’t on the same level talent-wise that it was last year with Diggs, a four-time Pro Bowler, and Gabriel Davis, who caught 27 touchdowns in four seasons with the team, but it’s also not as toxic either.

With a young group led by 21-year-old rookie Keon Coleman, 24-year-old Khalil Shakir, 26-year-old Chase Claypool and 27-year-old Curtis Samuel, Allen’s new verbal leadership approach is likely a breath of fresh air compared to the walking-on-egg-shells feeling most players had when Diggs was still on the team.
