Bills ranked as top-tier team with bright long-term outlook

The Buffalo Bills have been a perennial Super Bowl contender for the last half-decade.

Since 2019, they have the second most wins in the NFL, have won five playoff games, and have come within mere plays of potentially making it to the Super Bowl.

In ESPN’s long-term power rankings , where they look at the outlooks of all 32 teams, the Bills ranked near the very top of the list at No. 3. Dan Graziano highlights the Bills’ young corps on offense that will keep them in contention for the foreseeable future.

“Josh Allen isn't going anywhere anytime soon, and the offense was already transitioning late last season to one built around emerging young stars Dalton Kincaid and James Cook,” Graziano wrote. “The Bills spent the offseason necessarily getting younger on defense, and under coach Sean McDermott's leadership, that group should develop quickly.”

Louis Riddick points to the question mark at receiver as the Bills’ biggest reason for concern.

“The Bills' pass rush and run game have taken steps forward, so I'm looking at their wide receiver group,” Riddick wrote. “Who will step up and consistently win down the field outside the numbers with Stefon Diggs no longer on the roster? I really like rookie wideout Keon Coleman from Florida State, but he must prove to be the team's next physical, big-play WR.”

Concerns aside, as long as the Bills have Josh Allen, they’ll be one of the teams everyone looks at ahead of the regular season and says they have a shot.
