(WBEN) - The Hotel Niagara continues to be the center of a legal dispute as developer Brine Wells has filed a countersuit against former partner Merani Hotel Group and its owner Faisal Merani, per Buffalo Business First. Merani had filed suit against Brine Wells Development nearly a month ago alleging breach of contract for cutting ties just before the state gave approvals for the project. Brine Wells Development has responded by saying Merani interfered with business relationships and prevented the project from moving forward. The redevelopment of the Hotel Niagara will cost $51 million.
