The Buffalo Bills continued their 2024 training camp journey at St. John Fisher University, with Wednesday marking Day 11 of practice in Rochester. The day was filled with notable moments and emerging concerns as the team gears up for the preseason.

    From media reports ...

Early in training camp, rookie Ray Davis had trouble holding onto the ball. Unfortunately, this issue seems to have spread to Buffalo’s starting running back, James Cook . Reports, including those from Spectrum News, indicated that Cook fumbled at least twice during team drills on Wednesday. This development raises concerns about ball security in the backfield as the team moves forward.

The Buffalo News reported mixed results from the first-team offense. The day began promisingly with Josh Allen connecting on a long pass to tight end Dalton Kincaid and a touchdown to Mack Hollins during the first two drives. However, momentum stalled in subsequent series, with the offense struggling to maintain its rhythm. The team portion of practice concluded with red zone drills, where Allen managed to throw some touchdown passes despite the earlier inconsistencies.

With the Bills set to host the Chicago Bears in their preseason opener, speculation abounds regarding Josh Allen’s playing time. Allen addressed the topic diplomatically, suggesting that playing in the preseason might not significantly benefit him at this stage in his career.

"It doesn’t really make a difference for me at this point in my career," Allen said . While his competitive nature drives him to participate, he acknowledged the risks involved. "Risking injuries might not be worth it," he admitted, underscoring the need to balance preparation with safety.

As the Bills prepare for their first preseason game, fans should temper expectations regarding Allen’s presence on the field. His focus remains on building chemistry with new teammates, including center Connor McGovern, without compromising his health.
