    2 teens charged after fatal shooting in Burlington on Bellvue Street, police say

    BURLINGTON, N.C. (WGHP) — Police in the Triad have charged two teens in connection to a fatal shooting.

    According to the Burlington Police Department, just before midnight on Monday, they responded to Bellvue Street about a shooting.

    At the scene, they found a man suffering from a single gunshot wound.

    The victim, identified as Kemori Booth, 24, was taken to the hospital. He died from his injuries.

    During the investigation, detectives discovered that a 19-year-old was also shot. He was treated and released from the hospital.

    Chastin Mekhi Moses, 19, of Burlington, has been charged with first-degree murder and contributing to the delinquency of a minor.

    He was taken to the Alamance County Detention Center and received no bond.

    A Burlington 16-year-old was charged with first-degree murder, and a juvenile is in the custody of the Department of Juvenile Justice.
