    Green Women Put On Exhibition Show

    BURLINGTON, VT – The first ever Vermont Green WOMEN’s game was one that came down to the final shot, with Vermont winning on penalty kicks.

    They were playing an exhibition game, the first ever for a women’s team, verse Laval at UVM’s Virtue Field.

    After a scoreless first half, Vermont would strike first in the second half on a goal from Neve Renwick. The first ever assist by a Vermont Green women would come from Milton, Vermont’s Emma Wenner.

    Laval would tie the game in the final minute of the second half, prior to extra time, sending the game to penalty kicks.

    Olivia Dubin, the Green goalie, would come up with a very key save to set up Middlebury College’s, Roshann Purcell to connect on the game clinching penalty kick.
