A Few Showers Possible Tonight with More Chances Early Next Week
OTTUMWA, Iowa (KYOU) - The chance for a few scattered showers will linger with us through the evening hours. Overnight, coverage of showers will decrease, but a few spots could still encounter a brief shower. Lows tonight fall into the low to mid 60s. Sunday brings a mix of clouds and sun with the possibility for a few pop-up afternoon showers. The best chance for these showers will be when daytime heating is at it’s peak in the mid to late afternoon, but many areas remain dry. Highs Sunday reach the upper 70s and low 80s. Showers are expected to dissipate Sunday night as lows fall into the low to mid 60s. The first half of next week will be fairly consistent with the possibility for pop up showers and few thunderstorms each day, especially during the afternoon hours. No severe weather is expected and rainfall amounts are expected to be generally light. Highs reach the low to mid 80s while dew points and low temperatures are both in the 60s. Our rain chances end after Wednesday and we are dry for the rest of the week with temperatures climbing into the upper 80s by next weekend.
