    Man Shot At Pennsylvania Trump Rally Released From The Hospital

    One of the spectators who was shot during the assassination attempt of Donald Trump during a campaign rally in Butler, Pennsylvania, was released from the hospital on Wednesday (July 24) afternoon.

    David Dutch , 57, was shot in the chest and the liver and had to be placed in a medically induced coma following the July 13th rally.

    The second man who was injured in the shooting, James Copenhaver , 74, is still in the hospital, where he is listed in serious but stable condition .

    "Jim would like to especially thank the first responders, medics, and hospital staff who have provided him with initial and continuing care," his family said in a statement last week . "Additionally, Jim would like to express his thoughts and prayers for the other victims, their families, and President Trump. He prays for a safe and speedy recovery for them all."

    Firefighter Corey Comperatore was killed during the rally as he shielded his family from the gunfire.
