Macon man mourns pet after dog overheats in Walmart parking lot
MACON, Ga. — Mike Roland's most cherished memories with Bubba are all that he has left of his three-year-old pit bull. "We'd be goin' down the interstate, he'd have his head out the window, a bug would pop him in his head and it'd go, 'Pop!'" Roland remembers laughing. "He'd come back in, shake his head, go back out."
Drag show in Perry canceled amid backlash, moves to Warner Robins
HOUSTON COUNTY – Last week, there was uproar regarding a drag show originally at Main St. Bar in Perry, but a Warner Robins establishment had different plans. Main St. Bar planned to host the drag show on Sunday, June 30. However, people expressed their concerns regarding the show and even sent threats, according to the show’s producer Pynk Univers.
7 Brew hosting first-ever 7Brew Day this Sunday
WARNER ROBINS—7Brew Warner Robins, located at 4050 Watson Boulevard, along with all of its locations nationwide, will be hosting the inaugural 7Brew Day this Sunday, July 7. “We’re going to have buy one get one free drinks from 7 [p.m.] to 8 p.m,” 7Brew Warner Robins operator Tanner Weber said. “This is just a celebration of 7Brew so that customers can come through and get a free drink with a purchase of one, and this is a good promotion to give back to our customers.”
Macon mourns the loss of beloved singer Arthur 'Bo' Ponder at 77
MACON, Ga. (WGXA) -- Friends and family are remembering the life and legacy of Macon's Arthur "Bo," Ponder. The music artists died Saturday evening at the age of 77. Ponder worked professionally in the music business for 61 years as a singer, songwriter and recording artist. At 16 years-old Ponder landed center stage fulfilling a vacancy with the band, Johnny Jenkins & the Pine Toppers, after Otis Redding's departure to embark on a solo career. Ponder later became a recording artist and had a moderate hit record, “Dr. Strange Love”, under Phil Walden’s Capricorn label in 1969. Some of his other releases included; “My Love,” “Sexy Lady,” and “Baby I’m For Real.” Arthur also recorded as the Lead Singer for the group “Sideshow” that he formed in 1985.

NewTown Macon creates Hype Hounds Approved program to boost downtown business
MACON, Georgia (41NBC/WMGT) — A program will allow dog influencers and their owners to promote local businesses to new audiences.
