It is a new week but the same pattern remains
Panama City Fla. (WMBB) – Scattered showers and storms remain in the forecast at a high chance. Rain all day type of weather continues to not be the risk but there is plenty of moisture around the area. Where storms merge or run over the same areas flash flooding remains a risk as well. Flash flooding is about the only severe risk this week outside of an isolated wind gust or some small hail. Wednesday and Thursday, we could see an uptick in coverage for the showers/storms as weak low pressure moves closer to the area. If you are looking for more dry weather or a promising outlook of mostly dry weather, look toward the end of the week. The Atlantic high will expand west this weekend, it won’t completely dry us out but it will reduce the rain chances. This could also bring much warmer temps to us next week but we will worry about that as we get closer to the end of the week. The tropics continue to be dominated by dry air so nothing to worry about at this time.
