New proposal aims to clear up confusion on felons voting in Florida
The Florida Division of Elections has proposed updating rules to include a form for felons to fill out, requesting an advisory opinion on whether or not they are eligible to vote. The agency released an advisory opinion on the proposal last week.

Navarre Beach Restoration Project to begin November 2024 with Manson’s hopper dredge Glenn Edwards
The Navarre Beach Restoration Project will tentatively begin on Navarre Beach with the mobilization of equipment starting as soon as November 27, 2024. The restoration limits are from approximately 900 feet east of the Navarre Beach Pier and continue west to the Gulf Islands National Seashore property. The contractor is expected to work from 6 a.m. to 6 p.m. during the equipment mobilization period. The Glenn Edwards hopper dredge is tentatively expected to arrive on site in mid-December, 2024.
