    Students excel on topic of ‘Americanism’

    The American Legion Auxiliary Unit 91 recently announced the winners of the Americanism essay contest winners. This year’s essay was titled “What does freedom mean to me”. All the participants this year were from South Dorchester grades K through eight. The winners were awarded cash prizes at a presentation dinner sponsored by the Unit 91 Auxiliary in Cambridge. In attendance, besides the winners, were their families and many members of the American Legion Auxiliary. Pictured are the winners with their teacher, Jennifer Green, on the far right.
