    HTL: Marty-led Cambridge beats Albion for 6th straight victory

    EDGERTON — Cambridge starting pitcher Jared Marty pitched a complete game as the Blues notched a 6-1 win over the Albion Tigers on Sunday at Albion Park.

    Marty took a perfect game into the bottom of the sixth inning before Marcus Richards led off the frame with a single.

    The only other hit for Albion came from a solo home run by Charlie Hatlen in the eighth.

    Marty finished the game with 10 strikeouts, issued no walks and recorded two punch outs in the ninth inning to seal it.

    Offensively, Colton Ehrke and Carter Lund scored twice in the top of the first inning. In the third, Sam Mickelson hit a two-run single to score Lund and Marty.

    In the sixth, Denver Evans scored Chase Jarlsberg on a sacrifice fly. Later in the inning, Lund scored Ehrke on an RBI single. Ehrke led the Blues (6-1) with two hits.

    The Blues, winners of six straight, host Lake Mills Thursday at 1 p.m.
