Get That Shrimp Now: Sac Red Lobster is No More

Red Lobster announced 99 restaurant closures yesterday via USA Today.

On Sunday, Red Lobster filed for Chapter 11 bankruptcy in Florida, marking a significant downturn for the seafood chain. As of Wednesday morning, the company's website lists 99 locations closed across 28 states, an increase of 12 locations from what was previously reported by USA TODAY.

Among these closures is the Sacramento location, a favorite spot for many seafood enthusiasts in the area. The Sacramento Red Lobster, known for its signature shrimp dishes and iconic Cheddar Bay Biscuits, has been a staple for both locals and visitors. Unfortunately, the kitchen equipment from this location, along with others, was auctioned off last week by TAGeX Brands, an online restaurant liquidator. The auction allowed winners to receive the entire contents of the Red Lobster location they bid on, signaling the finality of these closures.

With the Sacramento location now closed, seafood lovers in the area are urged to visit their nearest Red Lobster as soon as possible to get their shrimp fix before it’s too late. The closure of these restaurants is not just a loss of a dining option but also a farewell to a beloved part of many communities.

Don't miss out on your last chance to enjoy Red Lobster's famous shrimp dishes. Head to your nearest open location and savor the flavors while you still can.
