Destructive storms, large hail and strong winds sweep through upstate NY. See the damage

Another string of strong thunderstorms tore through the Finger Lakes region Monday, producing a possible tornado in Ontario County, along with strong winds, heavy rain and hail less than a week after seven confirmed tornadoes rattled the state.

The dangerous weather knocked out power for thousands across upstate New York, flooded streets, toppled trees and dented cars and siding.

Here's a look at how much damage was caused throughout upstate New York Monday.

Storm damage in the Canandaigua NY

In Canandaigua, hail pelted homes and cars throughout the area and heavy rains flooded roadways. The National Weather Service in Buffalo is sending a team to Canandaigua Tuesday to determine whether a tornado touched down in the area Monday.

Several videos of the storm were posted to X, like this one from @L_Anders1:

And Melissa Robbins shared photos of the aftermath of the storm that passed through Canandaigua to Facebook Monday night, which shows uprooted trees and downed power lines:

    Farmington NY hit by storm

Farmington also took the brunt of Monday's storm. Photos and videos shared on X by @ConnordWX show chipped siding, broken windows and dented cars due to baseball-sized hail and whipping winds:

And @voglerweather on X captured a video of Monday's storm and photos of the resulting damage while traveling through Farmington:

Possible tornado touches down in Victor NY

The National Weather Service in Buffalo may also be sending a crew to Victor to assess the area's damage for a possible tornado Tuesday. Here's what Monday's storm looked like in East Victor, as posted to X by @winger58:

And @ConnordWX made a trip down Mertensia Road after severe weather passed through and captured these photos of the resulting damage:
