There are a bunch of great restaurants in Palm Harbor that people in Tampa are unaware of, Fireside Pizza Cafe in Downtown Palm Harbor is one of them. They have a custom built wood-fired oven for an authentic Mediterranean flair, it's the crust and the sauce that are absolutely delicious here.

On my most recent visit I enjoyed their Margarita pizza made with fresh crushed & seasoned roma tomato, fresh mozzarella, & fresh basil. They also have a Milano pizza with spinach, chicken, artichoke, goat cheese crumbles, a Parma cheese pizza with freshly sliced prosciutto di Parma & fresh arugula that is cooked or topped after baked. You really can’t go wrong with most options because of how fresh everything tastes, it’s all about your preferences for toppings, sauces, or cheese.

For those looking for something thicker they have a Sicilian pie made with thick crust 16" square cheese pizza with fresh grated parmesan cheese.

For entree choices, they have Chicken Parmesan with breaded chicken breast baked in a wood-fired oven then smothered in “mom's marinara sauce” & melted mozzarella cheese and an Eggplant Parmesan, which features breaded eggplant baked in wood-fired oven then smothered in “mom's marinara sauce” and melted mozzarella cheese.

Do not miss the wings which are absolutely delicious and a great choice when watching sports games (they have televisions in-house) or if you are having a get-together and want to grab some to-go. They have Buffalo Wings, Garlic Parmesan Wings, and Fireside Wings - which are oven roasted wings tossed in a dry rub of Fireside’s own special blend of spices. Wings are cooked on a bed of onions, but they can be removed upon request.

Pastas are plentiful and they offer Spaghetti, Lasagna, Carbonara, Shrimp Scampi, Fettuccine Alfredo, and more. Most pastas are between $10 and $12. A wide-range of salads and starters are also available.

Personally, my favorite appetizer are the Garlic Knots which come with 6 bread knots smothered in garlic sauce topped with parmesan cheese. The bread is soft and flavorful and of course the sauce is delicious. It’s not greasy.

Those looking for dessert can enjoy a Tiramisu or Cannolis. Fireside has a dedicated Happy Hour menu from Tuesday to Friday and also has an extensive beer and wine list with a focus on local craft beers that rotate regularly.

They do offer vegetarian and a gluten-free pizza for those who may have dietary restrictions. There is outside seating with a covered deck for those trying to take precautions for COVID-19 or those looking to simply dine outdoors. They offer take-out, but not delivery. If you haven’t tried Fireside, I recommend it.
