People may be excited for CarmelFest's 4th of July parade, events and fireworks show, but what is not as exciting are the road closures needed for the events to happen. Here's how you can get quickly and safely in and out of CarmelFest's activities for the holiday.

Keep in mind these road closures that will be in effect for July 3-4, 2024.

    Gradle Drive

Gradle Drive will be closed, except for emergency vehicles between Range Line Road and 3rd Avenue SW from 8 a.m. July 3 until all vendors are out of the area the evening of July 4.

    Red Truck Road

Red Truck Road will be closed.

    3rd Avenue SW

The road between Carmel Drive and Gradle Drive will be closed from 9 a.m. to 10:30 p.m. July 4. This closure will be strictly enforced as a safety zone for fireworks preparation and launching.

The Carmel Police Department is reminding patrons to be patient and keep in mind that there will be many people trying to use the same streets at the same time after the fireworks show. Remember to watch for pedestrians and pay close attention. There will be thousands of people crossing the streets after the parade and fireworks. Many of them will be children.

Keep in mind that parking is permitted only in city garages, parking lots, along city streets or with the permission of a property owner. Reserved accessible parking is available at the southwest corner of Main Street and Range Line Road for the parade.
