Cheerleading 4th Annual Summer Kids Camp
(Sugar Grove, IL.) - Waubonsee Community College's Cheerleading program will be holding its 4th Annual Summer Kids Camp this coming July 10, 11 and 12. Join members of Waubonsee's Competitive Co-ed Cheerleading squad to learn cheer basics like motions, jumps, cheers, dances and simple stunting. The sessions for campers ages 5 through 10 will be from 9:00 a.m. to 11:00 a.m. all three days, with ages 11 up through high school going from 11:30 a.m. to 1:30 p.m. each day in Waubonsee's Field House on the Sugar Grove campus. The Villa Park Mariners improved their 2024 season record to 5-1 following Saturday’s 377-166 victory over the Hanover Park Sailfish at Jefferson Pool. The Mariners earned another win earlier in the week, when they defeated Carol Stream 353-276 on June 19 in Carol Stream. The Villa Park swimmers who earned three individual victories during Saturday’s meet included Naomi Aldana. In addition to winning three individual events in the 15-18 girls level, she also swam on two winning relay teams. She is pictured during her victory in the 50-meter breaststroke.
