Union Catholic Track Legend Sydney McLaughlin Advances to 400m Hurdle Final at Olympic Trials
SCOTCH PLAINS, NJ --Union Catholic track legend and defending Olympic gold medalist Sydney McLaughlin advanced to the finals of the 400m hurdles with a win Saturday evening at the U.S. Olympic Trials in Eugene, Oregon. McLaughlin won the semifinals at 52.48, the fastest time in the world this year. Dalilah Muhammad, the 2016 Olympic gold medalist in Rio, finished second in Saturday's semifinal with a time of 54.16. Griffin Fieseler Signs Professional Contract to Play Volleyball in Denmark
NEWARK, NJ–NJIT men's volleyball alum Griffin Fieseler announced that he has signed a contract to play professional volleyball for Hvidovre VK Volleyball Klub in Denmark. Another injury has hit the Rutgers basketball backcourt. Postgrad guard Tyson Acuff suffered a broken foot in practice and will miss three months, the team announced Friday.
