Another month, another clowder of cute cats. All of these guys and gals are available from local, Kansas City shelters. Just use the provided links to get in touch with their respective shelters.

If you've adopted a cat you found from reading these articles, please let me know in the comments section. I'd love to hear about it!

    Cracklin' Rose

First up, from The Animal Rescue Alliance is Cracklin' Rose, an adorable tuxedo who was brought into TARA by a woman who found the poor girl living on the streets. She's still a youngster, less than a year old, so is full of playful energy. She's also very affectionate and likes to snuggle up with her foster family, wiggling around and enjoying as many belly rubs as she can get. You'll love this little girl to bits. You can learn more about her here.

    Bumble

Speaking of youthful energy, next up is Bumble, who is about seven months old now. He's a friendly little guy who occasionally gives a playful nip, so he might not be your guy if that's a big turn off for you. If you don't mind the occasional rough housing though, Bumble is a terrific pick. He'd be good with dogs and other cats. In fact, if you already have one or more cats he can pal up with, this bumble bee will be buzzing with joy. You can learn more about Bumble here.

    Fina

Fina, perhaps a shortening of "Josephina," needs to pay for one of those professional profile pics because this pic doesn't do her any justice. Available for adoption from Meowy Matchmakers, Fina is a toffee-colored tortoiseshell who would be best in a house as the only cat. She can be a bit shy at first, but once she warms up, she loves scratches and playing with feather toys.

Don't have the patience to build a bond with a leary cat? You can always bribe your way to her heart with treats. That will speed up the process for sure--she's a fiend for treats. You can learn more about this little lady here.

    Little Foot

With his unique name, long time readers just might remember Little Foot from about four months ago. He's still hanging out at the Friends of Parkville Animal Shelter, just waiting for the perfect family to swoop him up. Named after a dinosaur in The Land Before Time, Little Foot is a big guy. He's a bit shy at first but is really a sweet cat.

Little Foot is also good pals with Grace, an older cat, who was featured here just a few weeks ago. They've both been at the shelter a long time, and if you want a fast track to heaven, you'll go in and adopt them both. They'd be so happy. So would you!

    Here's the happy couple:

You can learn more about Little Foot (and Grace) by filling out a pre-adoption application. There's no obligation in doing so. You can also check out a video of Little Foot making the funniest noises, directed at a laser toy, on his Petfinder page.

    Antoni

Be still my heart, it's Antoni!Photo byGreat Plains SPCA

Are you saying, "These cats are fine and all, but I was really wanting an orange one." Well, you're in luck! Antoni is a three-year old with a beautiful coat you can adopt from Great Plains SPCA.

Antoni is another "shy at first" cat, but isn't it just sensible to be a little hesitant around new people? Regardless, you'll need to exercise a little patience with him. Let him get to know you at his speed. Build a relationship with him brick by brick. I have a very shy cat, and it so rewarding to see them come out of their shell, transform from timid, fraidy cat to the king (or queen) of their castle. So why not give Antoni a shot? Give him the opportunity to roar.

You can learn more about Antoni here.

That's it for this week. Want to look at more cats? Check out my profile here. Many of the cats featured on past posts are still available!
