Greater Birmingham Humane Society offers $17 adoption fee for the month of March

BIRMINGHAM, Ala. ( WIAT ) — The Greater Birmingham Humane Society (GBHS) is celebrating St. Patrick’s Day all month long with $17 adoption specials on all pets in March.

The adoption special price includes animals at the GBHS Adoption Center at 300 Snow Drive in Birmingham and the GBHS Jasper Adoption Center at 2302 Birmingham Ave in Jasper.

“With puppy and kitten season drawing near and overcrowding in shelters across the country, our $17 adoption will make it even easier for families to find their perfect match,” Allison Black Cornelius, CEO of GBHS, said in a statement. “This also offers an opportunity for our community to come together and support their local shelter. Adopting now not only provides a pet with a loving home but also helps us make room for others in need.”

The adoption fee includes spaying/neutering, microchipping and vaccinations.
