2024 Best Ball rankings: Five players to draft more often after reviewing preseason usage

This time of Best Ball draft season is when you need to adjust your exposures to make sure you're happy with your final Best Ball portfolio. Sometimes, you wait to get confirmation on a player's role or talent in NFL Preseason games.

I had limited exposure to the players listed below. But after a very positive NFL Preseason for these players, I'm moving them up my 2024 Best Ball top 250 rankings and drafting more of them in these last couple of weeks.

QB Caleb Williams

I never doubted the talent of Williams but I'm always a bit skeptical of rookie quarterbacks, and wanted to see Williams in a real NFL game before I drafted too much of him. He looks ready for success in his rookie year, and the Bears surrounded him with talent.

WR Rome Odunze

Another rookie that I knew the talent was there, but I wasn't sure what the usage would be in his rookie year. He is playing the least amount of snaps of the Bears' three starting wide receivers. But with his talent, the Bears would be crazy not to give him more opportunity this season.

WR Rashee Rice

This was a case that I was sure Rice would be suspended for at least six or more games this season. Now that doesn't look as likely to happen this season. I also was bullish on the new weapons the Chiefs brought in with rookie WR Xavier Worthy and free agent WR Hollywood Brown. Now that Brown is hurt and likely to miss the first couple of games, Rice's price has skyrocketed. At this point, I need to make sure I have some shares of Rice.

RB Ray Davis

I have been burnt by projecting a rookie running back to have more of a role too early in the draft season before. So I wanted to take a wait-and-see approach with a lot of these rookie running backs. I have now seen enough to believe that Davis is a talented RB who should have a solid role on this team.

RB Javonte Williams

The Broncos running back room has been very muddy all offseason. And it wasn't clear which RB would get the most usage. Now it is clear that Williams will be the RB1 for the Broncos. Even though this isn't a top offense, I still want some Williams shares.
