Just as Breece Hall and Javonte Williams returned last year after season-ending injuries, running backs like Nick Chubb and J.K. Dobbins are coming back this year after finishing 2023 on IR. Slotting these players into the 2024 Fantasy football rankings is difficult since some returning players hit the ground running, while others may need an entire year to regain their previous form. Drafting a player in the latter category could leave you with an albatross on your roster and one of the 2024 Fantasy football busts on your hands.

Regarding players with injury concerns, there's always a tipping point in Fantasy football 2024 drafts where the reward of taking them outweighs the risk of them underperforming. So, what is that point for players like Chubb and Dobbins, and when should you take a chance on them with your Fantasy football picks 2024? As you begin your 2024 Fantasy football draft prep, be sure to check out the 2024 Fantasy football cheat sheets from the proven computer model at SportsLine .

Last year, the model accurately predicted that Dolphins wide receiver Jaylen Waddle would fail to live up to his Fantasy football ADP. Waddle's 2023 Fantasy football ADP was 34.86 overall and he was the 11th receiver off the board on average. He'd go on to notch a 1,000-yard season but only had 72 receptions with four touchdowns and he'd finish as the No. 34 Fantasy football wide receiver in CBS Sports PPR leagues.

The same model has a proven track record providing Fantasy football tips, identifying A.J. Brown as a sleeper in 2020 and nailing Jonathan Taylor's monstrous season in 2021. Additionally, it's called past Fantasy football sleepers like Derrick Henry in 2019, Christian McCaffrey and Alvin Kamara in 2018, and Davante Adams in 2017. Anybody who banked on players like those made a run at their league title.

The model is powered by the same people who generated projections for all three major Fantasy sites, and it beat human experts last season when there was a big difference in ranking. The 2024 Fantasy football PPR rankings and 2024 Fantasy football standard projections update multiple times daily, so you're always getting the best Fantasy football advice.

Now, SportsLine has simulated the entire NFL season 10,000 times and released its latest Fantasy football rankings 2024, along with plenty of sleepers, breakouts and busts. Head to SportsLine now to see them .

    Top 2024 Fantasy football busts

One of the 2024 Fantasy football busts the model is predicting: Bears wide receiver Rome Odunze. Rookie receivers are always exciting picks in Fantasy football drafts and it seems 2024 Fantasy football players may be setting too high of expectations from Odunze to quickly replicate his college success in the NFL. Odunze led college football in receiving yards (1,640) with his big-play potential resulting in him being selected with the No. 9 overall pick in the 2024 NFL Draft.

But whereas he was the man in Washington, he's joining one of the best pass-catching rooms in the NFL in Chicago. D.J. Moore had the sixth-most receiving yards (1,364) last season to lead the Bears and they brought in reinforcements this offseason. Chicago traded for Keenan Allen, who had 108 receptions for 1,243 yards last season, and signed D'Andre Swift, who is one of the better pass-catching running backs in the NFL. Cole Kmet and Gerald Everett are two capable pass-catching tight ends and even though there's excitement around Caleb Williams taking over at quarterback, there's no guarantee he is lighting up the league from Week 1. Based on Odunze's ADP, the model believes there are more proven options in better positions for targets and success than him for 2024 Fantasy football drafts.

Another bust that SportsLine's Fantasy football rankings 2024 have identified: Vikings running back Aaron Jones. Due to hamstring and knee injuries, Jones missed six games last year, leading to his worst numbers since his rookie year in 2017. Jones had 889 total yards and three touchdowns after averaging 1,431 yards and 12 TDs over the previous four seasons. Green Bay released him in the offseason, and Jones signed with the division rival Vikings.

However, Jones is downgrading in terms of offensive lines. The Vikings have ranked among the bottom eight NFL teams in both rushing yards and yards per carry in each of the last two seasons, despite having Dalvin Cook for one of those. Additionally, not only is Jones coming off an injury-plagued season, but his 4.6 yards per carry in 2023 matched a career-low and he will turn 30 years old this season. There are just too many red flags with Jones as the model has him outside its top 20 running backs in its 2024 Fantasy football rankings. See which other Fantasy football busts 2024 to avoid here .

How to find proven 2024 Fantasy football rankings

SportsLine is also low on a wide receiver who is being drafted as a top-15 player at his position. The model ranks him outside its top 20 wide receivers for 2024 and expects him to see major regression. You can only see who it is, and the 2024 Fantasy football rankings for every player, at SportsLine .
