Annamae Millette competes in National Soap Box Derby race
WARREN COUNTY, KY.- Soap box derby season is not over yet and South Central Kentucky will be represented in the national race. Nine-year-old, Annamae Millette is competing this week in Akron, OH, because of her success here locally. Annamae competed at Philly Moore Park and got first place in the competition. We spoke with Caroline Millette, her mother who shared how this impacted her. Caroline says, “We’ve enjoyed seeing her. She loves it when they cross the finish line. She knows she’s done. and, to watch her confidence grow. Last year, she was really nervous about being in the car.”

Breanna Stewart, American professional basketball player for the New York Liberty, once stated, “Your passion and dedication can’t be sometime, part-time, or spare time … it has to be ALL-TIME!” Carroll’s basketball career is living proof that being dedicated to something you love requires hard work and determination to be the best player you can be.
