This Texas Ghost Town is Hard to Visit Because it’s at the Bottom of a Lake
Texas has a plethora of ghost towns that are ripe for exploring. Just remember to do your research before you do as some could be privately owned and you could be charged with trespassing. Other ghost towns could be have been taken back by Mother Nature making it dangerous to explore. Having said that, there is an abandoned town just north of Waco where the access to it is very restricted. Why? Because it's at the bottom of a lake.

Two More North Texas Cities Push To Cut DART Funding
City councils in Carrollton and Farmers Branch voted to reduce Dallas Area Rapid Transit’s (DART) funding, joining three other North Texas cities. Currently, every dollar spent in member cities is taxed at 1% to help fund the transit system, a practice in place since 1983. However, the Carrollton and Farmers Branch approved resolutions to support capping DART contributions at three-quarters of a cent per dollar. A month into a hot Texas summer, Dallas-Fort Worth already has surpassed the number of poor air quality days reported in all of 2023. Mosquito Spraying to Take Place Beginning Thursday, July 18
The City of Euless will be spraying for mosquitoes in five zones beginning Thursday, July 18. During weekly testing of mosquito traps, the City of Euless received notification of five traps in Euless containing West Nile Virus positive mosquitoes. The City of Euless will be spraying for mosquitoes starting Thursday, July 18, starting at 9:00 p.m. Zone 3, Zone 6, and Zone 7 will be sprayed for one night, on Thursday, July 18. Zone 5 and Zone 9 will be sprayed for three consecutive nights, beginning Friday, July 19. Based on the recommendation of Tarrant County Public Health, the area directly around the positive mosquito samples will be sprayed. In the event of adverse weather conditions, spraying will be delayed until the following day. Mosquito spraying will be performed in the late evening while most of the city population is indoors.
