• Battle of the Badges blood drive set for Friday July 19

The 4th annual Battle of the Badges community- wide blood drive pitting the Center Police Department versus the Shelby County Sheriff ’s Office in friendly competition for donations is set for Friday July 19 from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m.

Come save lives, and support local law enforcement, plus enjoy good food.

Two donor coaches from the Gulf Coast Regional Blood Center will set up outside the Center Police Department. Every attempted donor will be entered into a raffle for cool door prizes, and every successful donor will get a free donor tee-shirt.

In addition to the blood drive, a hamburger plate fundraiser featuring a burger, chips, dessert and water will be available for $10. Funds raised will help support the Center Police Department Ladies Auxiliary’s Scholarship Fund and Operation Blue Santa.
