Woman allegedly brings 1,000 fentanyl pills to Lewis County Jail 

A woman allegedly had a baggie containing 1,000 fentanyl pills in her possession when she was booked into the Lewis County Jail on an unrelated warrant on Thursday.

Kayla Marrs, 31, of Centralia, allegedly denied having any drugs when she was taken to the jail on Thursday, according to charging documents filed in Lewis County Superior Court.

A deputy at the jail reportedly “reminded her that the last time she was booked into the jail, she was in possession of drugs,” but she again denied possessing drugs, according to court documents.

As Marrs was being searched during booking, “it was discovered that she was in possession of approximately 1,000 fentanyl pills and approximately $1,300 in cash,” according to court documents.

Marrs was charged Friday, July 5, with one count each of possession of a controlled substance with the intent to manufacture or deliver and possession of a controlled substance while in a county or local correctional facility.

Due to Marrs’ criminal history and the “huge threat to community safety” posed by the allegations, Judge Joely Yeager granted the prosecution’s request to set Marrs’ bail at $75,000 on Friday.
Arraignment is scheduled for Thursday, July 11.
