Chandler's Arizona Ave. Walmart finishes remodel

Employees and Walmart guests celebrated the remodel of the store on the southeast corner of Pecos Road and Arizona Avenue on July 19.

Donation checks, including $3,000 to the O’Tahira Foundation and $1,000 to Campbell Crew Cares, were announced, along with a ribbon-cutting ceremony, live music, vendor sampling and family-friendly activities.
Walmart associate Gabrielle Ly performed the Star-Spangled Banner.

During the celebration, Chandler Supercenter Store Manager Diana Mendoza highlighted the new customer-focused features, which include:

• A newly painted interior and exterior.

• New flooring throughout the apparel department.

• Expanded and updated “grab & go” space.

• New front-end layout.

• Expanded online pickup and delivery area.

• A community-focused mural.

• Expanded ethnic grocery items.
